Monday’s 102nd Carolinas Open CPGA REACH Pro-Am at The Cliffs at Mountain Park kicked off championship week with a cause. Amateurs and Carolinas PGA Professionals teamed up for a round benefitting PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), our program that uses golf as a rehabilitation tool for ...veterans at no cost to them. Thanks to everyone who came out, the day raised $20,000 for PGA HOPE. Grateful for every player, partner, and supporter who made it happen.

We’ve been traveling throughout the Carolinas this past month, watching young golfers showcase their skills and passion for the game. With just one local qualifier remaining, we’re looking forward to wrapping up an incredible ...qualifying season and cheering on the final group of competitors👏

This past week, Shelby represented the Carolinas through PGA WORKS at the @underratedgolf Tour in Gainesville, FL as a Tournament Scoring Coordinator.

Throughout the week, she helped get junior players started each morning, managed tournament scoring, ...and gained valuable experience in tournament operations. She also had the opportunity to collaborate with the @southernohiopga WORKS Fellow, working together throughout the week to support tournament operations and ensure the event ran smoothly. Working behind the scenes provided a firsthand look at the planning, coordination, and teamwork required to successfully host a multi-day event.

We are excited to officially introduce Shelby Garcia as our 10th Sara “Sunny” Harris Hutchinson PGA WORKS Fellow!

Shelby recently graduated from the University of South Carolina and is jumping right into a 15-month immersion with our team. On ...just her second day on the job, she was out in the field experiencing the impact of our PGA HOPE Wellness Retreat firsthand.

Shelby’s passion for the golf industry clicked after working the 2025 Masters Tournament, and she’s spent her time since learning the ropes at The Woodcreek Club in Elgin, SC.

We are so excited to watch Shelby grow over the next 15 months as she follows in the footsteps of our past fellows! Join us in giving Shelby a warm welcome to the Carolinas PGA family!👏 👏
